Steve Carpey

Founder/Managing Partner

Steve’s real estate investment and development career spans nearly 40 years of expertise working with medical office, special-purpose healthcare, general commercial office, and residential properties. As both owner and advisor, he has led the acquisition, planning, ground-up construction, or re-purposing of several hundred million dollars’ worth of assignments ranging from programmatically-deployed stand-alone clinics to unique, large-scale mixed-use projects. His transactional expertise is rooted in national tenant representation and corporate site selection encompassing over 2.5 million square feet of space occupied by major healthcare and business users such as DaVita, United Airlines, Lloyds Bank, MGM/UA and several major international accounting firms.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, he combines financial acumen, strategic insight and a client-oriented approach in identifying opportunities, overseeing development and leasing, and forging the firm’s partnerships and alliances.

 

David Coe

Design & Construction

David is a highly experienced architectural designer and project manager who has directed a wide array of complex commercial and institutional projects in the fields of health care, multi-family residential and government-subsidized housing.  During his 20 year career, he has led the design and management of some 30 large-scale construction projects along the East Coast, with a cumulative valuation of nearly $800 million.  His extensive client portfolio includes Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Hospital, Audi USA, Toll Brothers, and Brandywine Realty.  David’s expertise has been honed through varied roles as construction manager, principal designer, project manager, technical instructor, and construction administrator. Most recently, before joining the Mediplex team, David managed strategic planning projects in the corporate real estate division of Merck Pharmaceuticals. As Director of Design and Construction for Mediplex, David oversees project development from conception through completion.  He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Architecture from Pennsylvania State University.

 

Jeffrey Goldstein

Partner

Jeffrey has managed strategic planning and transactional financing projects for clients consisting of high net worth individuals and corporations throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East. For nearly 18 years, he has primarily focused on projects involving single-tenant commercial office; special purpose medical; multi-family; and age-targeted developments, facilitating and directing several hundred million dollars’ worth of successful projects. In his role as a Partner at Mediplex, Jeffrey focuses on developing strategic relationships with health systems, independent physician practice networks, institutions, and municipalities that comprise the company’s core competencies, and are the backbone of Mediplex’s successful growth and expansion plans.

Jeffrey holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.

 

Raph Amar

Project Management & Analysis

Raph brings a comprehensive set of commercial real estate skills to Mediplex including project management, feasibility analysis and financial modelling.  He possesses a uniquely expansive perspective, having worked for the better part of a decade at one of Europe’s most innovative private developers.  In that capacity, he spearheaded the acquisition, financial oversight, and overall development operations for a number of award-winning projects, collaborating with internationally renowned architects such as David Chipperfield, Diener & Diener, Andre Campos and Hans Kollhoff.  In so doing, Raph has gained expertise in all facets and phases of ground-up and adaptive re-use development.  Raphael earned his Bachelor’s degree in finance at Reichman University in Israel and later went on to complete a post-graduate program in Real Estate Development at the KU Leuven, Belgium.
